The Saks Offender blog is moving to a community!

That's right! We're moving the blog from a journal to a community. The blog has been growing so fast, a little journal can't handle something this fierce! We will no longer be posting entries here. Please, please, please, if you love fashion or you love this blog, join and add the community!

All of the old entries have been transfered, and marked as "archived." However, all the old comments cannot be moved :(. Feel free to recomment the archived entries if you wish! We will read all the comments and try to reply to them as we can. There is more information about this on the community.

There will be no changes to what we blog about, or how often we update, but we are now going by different names! I will now be "Raven," and T will now be "Tallulah." We will also post to the community from different accounts.

All of this information and more is on the community, so go go go! :)

With love,

Do you have $10? You could:

a) Buy Starbucks for yourself and a friend.
b) Buy a 2008 wall calendar with pictures of babies in flower pots.
c) Buy a fashionable necklace, scarf, or ring.

I think the answer is clear.

Yesterday I went to the mall with some friends, and we visited Forever 21. Again, I am not a fan of this store. I don't like the quality of clothes, the usually outdated styles, and stolen designs from real designers.

But I will admit, they had some tempting jewelry at good prices. So, I was inspired to write this post.

When in F21, the sheer AMOUNT of necklaces and bracelets can be daunting, and alot of it is crap. I picked through the junk to find some really cute stuff (all pictures taken by me).

Instead, do you love high-end purses, shoes and jewelry?
Try www.fengjunk.com. They are a boutique in LA that ships anywhere for free, and their stuff is to die for.

Not so much inspiration this time, but instead exact matches. Saw something you loved on Gossip Girl? Well, I managed to come across those stylish pieces!

The Holidays are finally here, and just in time for Thanksgiving I present you with this Guide to Holiday Fashion. We all stress over the perfect dress, or how formal or casual to go. Sometimes we don't even know where to begin! Hopefully this will take off some of that stress. I'll include some dresses that celebrities have worn, and some great finds of my own. The holidays are the time for every girl to look fabulous, so don't treat yourself to anything less!

Deck the halls! )

Chances are, none of us will ever grace the catwalks of Chanel, Galliano, or Valentino, but we can be inspired by the girls that do. Whether they pull off the "just got out of bed" or the more refined, classic look, they are never short of fabulous. You can get their look, and for a fraction of a price (because most of us won't be able to dish out several grand for a casual outfit).

Eight models & outfits. )

It's that time of year again. The snow is falling, the turkey is dying, the stores are opening at 4am. That's right, coat season is finally here!

I don't care if you live in Miami and it's 80 degrees outside, everyone needs a fierce coat this winter. Your coat should be like the sun, and the rest of your wardrobe should orbit around it. It should be breathtakingly chic, and perfect in every way. Obviously, finding the right one can be a challenge. With any luck, this will point you in the right direction!

What I love right now are red coats. There is nothing more fun, attention-grabbing, and fashionable.

I was lucky enough to snag this coat from Nordstrom. It's stunning paired with black clothes and red lipstick.

Hello, I am T. I am the best friend of R. You shall see me around here quite a bit now.

I'd like to start out by saying that leopard is my latest obsession.

Leopard cannot be beat, and though so many people fear going the whole nine yards, it is worth it! Maybe opt for some leopard flats, then move up to the fabulous leopard coat. You may be hesitant at first, but you really can't go wrong. All eyes will be on you, and who doesn't want that?

Do you dare? )

Back by popular demand is what I will now call "Gossip Girl Style Spy." The show is so full of amazing fashion, I can't do it justice with one blog post.

Oh, Manhattan. The taxis, the lights, the leopard print coats and ankle boots. Although Leighton Meester (Blair) has the most unique style, Blake Lively (Serena) is undeniably fierce. She's the Kate Moss-esque beauty who seems to roll out of bed and wear whatever is on the floor. How does she make it look so good? Obviously she's a goddess.

Every season, my biggest inspiration comes from the runways of Fashion Week. In general, the Spring 2008 collections were less than inspiring, no doubt making Coco and Christian turn in their graves.

Karl, the penguin was cute... for a six-year-old.

Chanel Fall RTW 07. Designer: Karl Lagerfeld.

And words simply can't describe my feelings about the denim bathing suits.

Chanel Spring RTW 08. Designer: Karl Lagerfeld.

I can't even be happy about the gloves. That's how bad it is. Bring the penguin sweaters back, this is worse!!

Karl Lagerfeld is the most respected name in fashion, but is he losing his touch? Is he becoming senile behind those dark glasses?

Also, due to popular demand, I will continue talking about Gossip Girl fashion in my next blog post.

I know this topic is so worn out, but I had to blog about it. (Atleast I'm not boring you with more news about Cavalli's line for H&M.) Not only is Gossip Girl the most delightfully addicting show on TV, but the clothes are fabulous.

I see people gushing over Blake Lively's (Serena) look, but her clothes usually bore me. There have been exceptions, like a studded mini dress she wore in one episode. But generally, my attention is on Leighton Meester (Blair). Not only is she the superior character (IMO), but her wardrobe is delicious. (Right now I'm kicking myself for not buying red stockings when I saw them.) Even if you don't like Gossip Girl, you can enjoy this blog for the gorgeous clothes. So click the cut ;).

This blog is about the store Forever 21 (www.forever21.com). I've been very anti-F21 for a while, due to the poor quality of clothes and the stolen designs from more worthy designers. As much as I hate it, I understand its appeal. It sells inexpensive clothes that mimic the runway, and not everyone can afford genuine Marc Jacobs. So, if F21 is the store for you, I'm going to show you my favorite pieces from the website.

Also, I have to share this HILARIOUS YouTube video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PsVezkJtyEE
It's of comedian Stephen Colbert at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards. Very funny, check it out!

Kate, you look hot. The dress is beautiful, your hair looks fabulous pulled back, and your make-up is angelic.

I am the Saks Offender, also known as R. My goal is to share my opinions on fashion and life with whoever will read them.

Everyone talks about finding your "personal style." As if it were so easy to define. I am very anti-p.s. (personal style), because it's so limiting. Fashion is supposed to be fun, and it's just so exciting to wear things like leopard with pearls. How do you define that? "Eclectic?" That's stupid, because everyone should be eclectic in their style. It's BORING to wear the same type of things day after day. Honestly, how many times have you worn a black skirt or dark skinny jeans this week? Yawn. Your p.s. must be "old and tired."

People need to stop putting themselves in these p.s. boxes, and start having a good time with fashion again. Buy green boots, who cares if they don't match with anything you own?

I'll admit, I was recently stuck in a p.s. rut. Dark colored dresses with black stockings and heels, practically 24/7. It's a good look, but it's so stale. I'm ready to add some flavor to my closet.

Buy the fabulous shoes that jump out at you, not the shoes that go with everything. You'll take them home and find something that will work with them.

What I'm loving now:
Sequins. I'm not expecting to wear them next season, but I love them atm. They scream "look at me!" and are so fashion-forward. I love this French Connection sheath dress, as seen on celebrities such as Paris Hilton: http://www.fcusbuymail.com/ProductDetails.aspx?language=en-US&ProductID=71Y5X&CategoryID=w_dresses
Please, get it in "mole." The jasmine color is obnoxious. I wore this dress to a party recently, and it looked stunning with black sheer stockings. Downside? It's such a short and delicate dress, you can't really dance in it. You'll be the prettiest wallflower, though. (Note, the dress runs big. Get it in a smaller size.)
I also adore this Free People mini skirt: http://www.freepeople.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/products.detail/productID/ceeb5457-eb00-495d-aef4-40e3010cf4b7/categoryID/3c77b415-a309-4742-bc3c-011f2c33ab60
In black, obviously. I plan on ordering this soon. The sequins are subtle enough that I'll be able to carry it into next season. Maybe.

I'm inspired by:
Parisian women! (pictures from style.com) Their clothes are gorgeous, and they know how to work it.
